We trust that it may prove to be of interest and value to the members. It is our ambition to make each edition more valuable than its predecessor and we repeat our previous request to members to co operate with us by informing us of their desires regard ing subjects to be discussed in future editions Once more, also, we Shall Welcome constructive criticism. We feel sure that the members Will note with satisfaction the progress which the Society has made during the past year and which is reflected in the Exhibition, . Membership and Financial Reports appearing on succeeding pages. The Society's usefulness may be much extended, however, by a vigorous campaign to increase the membership, and in this work each individual member, wherever domiciled, may participate. This is an opportunity to render service which, we trust, no member will neglect. We desire to acknowledge gratefully the assistance of the various contributors of articles appearing herein, also the courtesy of Mr. Courtney Page, Honorary Secretary of The National Rose Society, who has kindly permitted us to use an extremely valuable article which appeared in the 1927 edition of that Society's Annual.
