Mr Wode is the author of The Christmas Turkey produced in New York in 1967, the first play in history with full frontal nudity. He also directed Che!, another breakthrough off Broadway production in 1968. Mr Wode was the founder and owner of the Free Store Theater and Cooper Square Arts Theater in New york where over 35 plays were presented. Mr. Wode's musical play The Republic was presented in 1970 and was arguably the first rock musical. The four plays presented here break the mold, as usual and take on subjects and issues of great universal importance. The three comedies are all totally original endeavers. The Demagogues is the tragedy offering. It is based on an incident in Thucydides History of the Peloponesian War. It features adaptations of a couple of the greatest speeches recorded in the history of the world attributed to the great Athenian statesman, Pericles.
