This volume contains the papers delivered at the conference, which chronicle the major advances in short-wavelength laser physics and technology. Short-wavelength coherent radiation generation is inextricably linked to high-intensity laser-matter physics, and this meeting had more emphasis on the basic high-field light-matter interaction than ever before.
