He is a graduate of Harvard College, where he studied writing and filmmaking. Todd is president of the Ledge Light Foundation, which is dedicated to restoring New London Ledge Lighthouse. Together, Todd and his wife Marcia, a photo-editor and yoga teacher, have spearheaded the preservation of the lighthouse, creation of a museum inside it, and often serve as tour guides. When not working on the lighthouse, they travel the world to photograph and lecture for National Geographic, screen films at festivals, and attend magic conventions.
