It contains many lovely poems, discussions with herself on how to live life, what is important, descriptions of her journeys overseas, long walks in deserts, mountains and her favourite place, the Kimberley.Early on she developed an understanding of the struggle for Aboriginal rights. She also had a deep and abiding love of children, especially those who had been damaged by adverse circumstances. She wrote a PhD thesis using yoga and meditation to help these children. She also built a large straw-bale house, with help from many of her friends. Pauline was a natural teacher throughout her life, and when she was obliged to yield she taught how this can be done with purpose and grace. She lived her life with love and gusto and determination. In the second part of the book, some of her diverse circle of friends reflect and honour her memory. Pauline died of mesothelioma in November 2019 after a short, escalating illness.
