By the time Clarisse is safely back at home, she realizes that she does not really want to be in the circus after all! This all leaves Clarisse dreaming of something else she would like to be. What would you like to be? Louise Coulson-Staak grew up in Zimbabwe, married her husband in Botswana, and moved to South Africa where her three children were born. The author and her family currently live in Qatar in the Middle East. She is a musician and singer/songwriter. I was inspired to write this story by my three children. I was amazed at their constant sense of adventure and their willingness to try new things. I also remember stories my grandmother told of a pet cow she had when she was a girl.
