He emigrated in 1818 and married Nancy Frownfelter in about 1823, probably in Pennsylvania. They had five children and lived in Cranberry Township, Crawford County, Ohio. Michael died in 1877. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived in Germany, Holland, Switzerland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina and elsewhere.
