Book excerpt: 2020 Unmasked is a comprehensive visual story of the year that changed America. The images were captured by three photographers from three different cities: Susan Baggett in Boston, Robin Fader in Washington, DC, Victor Mirontschuk in New York City, and edited by multi-award-winning photographer Ari Espay. We decided to create a book together when we realized we were each out in our own city's streets photographing and trying to make sense of this crazy new world. 2020 UNMASKED will also include personal narratives of people most seriously impacted by the events of the year. There are four sections: Election, Resistance, Covid, and Lockdown.
