Book excerpt: This project explores what effect a properly modeled inquiry into the needs, concerns, desires, and values of a parish community, when combined with analysis, pastoral programming, and supportive technical and collaborative assistance, may have on the financial sharing of parishioners. The goals of the project are to create and implement a new model directed toward the correlation of pastoral planning, stewardship/leadership and increased financial sharing by parishioners; to see evidence of new types of collaboration between Diocese of Tucson personnel, parish leadership, and pastoral planning processing; and to change the number of registered parishioners participating in financial sharing and/or their level of sharing.
