My entire life growing up was that of a “slave”. I was not raised like a normal little girl should have been raised with pretty dresses, hair bows, shiny shoes, lace socks and beautiful dolls. The only doll I had resembled a clown with long legs and long arms with pink cheeks and chubby jaws and raggedy shoes. We were not allowed to celebrate holidays such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, and we never received Birthday gifts.
