She graduated from Smith College in 1919. She married Joseph Chambers McKibbin (1893-1931), son of Joseph McKibbin and Mary Henderson Dorsey, 5 October 1927. They had one son, Kevin. She raised her son in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she became secretary for the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory from 1943 to 1963. She died in 1985.
