On October 31, 1985, I walked with my three children to a school celebration in Seattle, Washington. When we walked into the auditorium, one of the teachers said, “You are such a happy mother to have a daughter with such a long face.” I thought, Oh my god! No! Do not let it be repeated in the next generation. Internally, I realized the forces of evil were visiting again. I simply did not want to deal with this truth anymore. I knew that with this truth, I would have to move on as a single parent. I said, “What is wrong with you, honey?
