Things I've kept hidden, things I've done in school and at college originally as homework that grew to be more, things that I feel can't stay inside anymore. These are the actual pieces of me, spanning decades of struggle, joy, and events. I was going to try and organize these things, separate and organize all the things that were pretty, dirty, or dark. However I realized that my life has not been so organized, that most often it is wonderful and chaotic and it hurts so bad and so good. I want this to be a journey, where one poem makes you smile, and one makes you want to cry out, and others make you want to look under your bed.There will be times you may feel uncomfortable, there will be times you feel uneasy. Some things are as hard to write as they are to read. These are not for the faint of heart. It's real and gritty, dirty and messy, lovely and graphic. Some things will make you blush, as you take up an intimate peek at love and its many forms. There will be a choice word here and there. But there comes a time when words can have value. A possible giving thing, that you can take for yourself. A feeling you can hold to your heart, and say, I know this pain, or, I know this joy. These are my pieces for you, dear readers.
