Book excerpt: From DOA to a New Purpose begins with a background of who I was, leading up to the day of my stroke. Thus, the book actually begins explaining how good God was to my family as He saved my life and gave me the purpose of writing my experience that it might encourage others hearing about the trials I was able to overcome because I love Jesus and more importantly because He loves me always. Through a long series of struggles, He taught me that he was always there and that trusting Him made life easier and worth living in spite of the pain and difficulties. He enabled me to see brightness through a very dark experience. I would have given up if He had not been with me and miraculously provided the right people at all the right times. Hopefully this book will encourage those going through tough times and those that need to be used by God to encourage others.
