Book excerpt: This book is a compilation of news about the case of the Cuban agents of the Cuban State Security captured by the FBI and convicted by American courts. The book consists of articles published in various newspapers and magazines in the U.S., France, England and other sources and media. Gualdo Hidalgo, in his capacity as editor limited exclusively to publish the news literally as they appeared in the international press. The content of this book does not necessarily represent the ideas, beliefs, opinions or political orientation of the editor. Therefore, there is not a single phrase or word written by the editor, just the news as they were written by the journalists who authored the articles, mainly: El Nuevo Herald, The Miami Herald, The Washington Post, Reuter, Sun Sentinel, etc. We have only just published the news as they were published in the media.When the author of the book was 7 years old, he fled with his father, who was in danger of being killed by dictator Batista soldier and lived where Fidel Castro's guerilla was operating. The author met Fidel Castro, Raul Castro, Commander of the Revolution Juan Almeida and he spent two month at Che Guevara guerilla headquarter located in El Hombrito, Cuba. When the author was 11 years old he delivered a speech aired live by Cuban TV during an event celebrating an anniversary of guerrilla Second Fronton led by Commander Juan Almeida. In 1969 the author enrolled at the National School of Broadcasting, Havana, Cuba and later he enrolled in the Screenwriters' program at The Cuban National Institute of Broadcasting. He worked for a short time as actor and also as a journalist for the Cuban press. In 1976, the author was appointed Chair of the Philosophy Department at a Vocational Military School in Cuba. Later, he started working as Director of the Department of Political Studies at IPEL, Provincial Power Assembly, Holguin, Cuba. He has taught Philosophy, Economics. ESL and Spanish. The author has been profiled on books published in London and New York by Georgetown University, Harvard University and Freedom House. On the last Program Report on Human Rights, Columbia University, quoted the author telling about the quality of Columbia University Human Rights Programs. The author's hobby is Martial Arts. He has been training Karate since 1960. He is a Black Belt, 7th Degree in Karate.
